Over the weekend, the matches of the 24th round took place, leading to significant changes in the standings.
The championship leader, "Muras United" from Jalal-Abad, preparing for the group stage of the AFC Challenge Cup, rescheduled their away match against "Özgön" to an earlier date. This match, held on October 20, ended in an unexpected 1:1 draw, resulting in a loss of two critically important points for the team striving for gold medals.
Meanwhile, the main rival of "Muras United," Karakol's "Bars," was just two points behind and played against Osh's "Alaï" at their home stadium. To secure first place, "Bars" needed only a victory. "Alaï," on the other hand, aimed to keep their chances for the title and medals this season.
In the 21st minute of the match, the Osh team could have opened the scoring when Alexey Zinkevich scored, but the goal was disallowed due to offside.
After that, "Bars" completely controlled the game and scored three unanswered goals, winning 3:0 and moving to first place in the standings with two rounds left in the championship.
Now "Bars" has two home matches ahead against "Bishkek City" and "Talant." If the team wins these matches, they will become the champions of the country, despite being founded only at the end of last year.
"Alaï," which previously held the top position, lost its chances for the championship title and the opportunity to enter the TOP-3 after this defeat; now it can only rise to fourth place.
In the 24th round, "Dordoi" secured a confident victory over "Bishkek City" with a score of 3:0, allowing the team to climb to third place. Vladimir Salo's team is two points behind the leader and one point behind second place.
"Abdysh-Ata" also retains mathematical chances for the title, but much depends on the results of their competitors, who must start dropping points.
The team from Kant has the opportunity to fight for a place in the TOP-3, with a match against "Dordoi" ahead.
In the lower part of the table, there is also a tense battle to avoid the last 14th place, but this is merely a matter of honor, as no team will be relegated this season, and next season the Premier League will be joined by two new teams.
