According to information from Liverpool Echo, this event occurred after Liverpool secured a confident victory over the German team Eintracht with a score of 5:1 in the second round of the Champions League. In this match, Salah again remained on the bench, just like in the previous game against Galatasaray, where he also did not make the starting lineup.
The team's head coach, Arne Slot, opted for a 4-4-2 formation, placing Alexander Isak and Hugo Ekitike in attack. However, after Isak's injury during halftime, it was not Salah who came onto the field, but Federico Chiesa. The Egyptian forward appeared on the pitch only in the 74th minute, when the score was already 5:1, replacing Ekitike.
Despite spending only a few minutes on the field, Salah managed to take three shots on goal, which is a significant statistic compared to other players on the team. Nevertheless, his actions on social media raised questions about possible dissatisfaction with his position at the club and potential tension in his relationship with the coach.
At the moment, neither Salah nor the Liverpool management has made any official statements regarding this matter.
