The Bangladesh national football team lost to Kyrgyzstan
On the evening of Tuesday, October 13, the last match of the qualifying round for the 2018 World Cup took place in Bishkek. The national teams of Kyrgyzstan and Bangladesh faced off at the D. Omurzakov Stadium. The match ended with a resounding victory for the home team, 2-0.

From the start of the first half, the advantage was on the side of the Kyrgyz players. In the 27th minute, Vitaly Lyuks scored a goal. The Bangladesh team could not respond immediately: their players defended their half of the field, and even the additional minute at the end of the first half did not change the situation. In the second half, the Kyrgyz team missed several chances to score, while the Bangladesh players tried to play in passes but faced strong resistance. This was how the entire second half unfolded: the Kyrgyz team lacked accuracy, while the Bangladesh team struggled with ball control and precise passes. Each attempt to score was met with waves of cheers from the home fans, who were genuinely invested in the game. Finally, just a few minutes before the end of the match, one of the series of attacks by Kyrgyz player Ildar Amirov was successful – resulting in a second goal.

After the match, joyful shouts and applause from the jubilant fans echoed in the stands. Officials present at the match congratulated the team on their success: the entire cabinet of ministers of the republic applauded the players while standing. Prime Minister Temir Sariev even personally went to congratulate the team in the locker room. Thanking the footballers for their excellent game, he promised to reward them with 200,000 soms for the team fund. Unlike the match against Tajikistan, coach Alexander Krestinin was satisfied with the performance of his players. Speaking to journalists after the match, he noted not only the good level of play but also the tremendous support from the fans, which influenced the course of the game.

- I am satisfied with the quality of the game and the result. We played without any obvious failures, and the game had a clear pattern. Our percentage of shots on target was low, but we are working on that. I wouldn’t want to single out any one of my players; we were all one team, - he noted. – But we shouldn’t talk about an equal game. That’s ridiculous. We were winning against the Bangladesh team even away.

Thus, after the match with Bangladesh, Kyrgyzstan holds third place in Group B. Their next match will be on November 12, away against Australia.
