Valentina Shevchenko won the Super-8 champions tournament

The native of Kyrgyzstan, Valentina Shevchenko, won the Super-8 tournament of top fighters, which took place in China. This was reported by the Federation of Thai Boxing of Kyrgyzstan.

According to their information, during the event, eight girls holding world champion titles competed for the tournament winner's belt. In her first fight, Shevchenko won by points against Italian Eliza Qualizza, dominating all three rounds. By unanimous decision of the judges, Valentina won her first fight in this tournament. In the second fight, Valentina faced the tournament host, Wang Yan, who knocked out Canada's Frances Watanaya in the first round of the opening match.

Neither Valentina nor the Chinese fighter wanted to take risks, and the fight began with very tense work at a distance. In this match, Valentina showcased all her best qualities, surpassing her Chinese opponent in speed and variety of techniques. This fight also ended in favor of Shevchenko, and she advanced to the final.

In the final of the tournament, Shevchenko faced the world champion in Wushu, Irina Mazeppa from Russia. Valentina won this fight by knockout in the first round. "The fight started immediately and without any reconnaissance from both sides, with exchanges of punches and kicks. Despite Irina's good boxing training, Valentina was better and more precise. With accurate punches, she demoralized her opponent, broke through her defense, and delivered a powerful strike (doleochagi) to the side in the liver area. The referee counted a knockdown for the Russian athlete. Mazeppa quickly recovered and went back on the attack, but Valentina's devastating and precise roundhouse kick (doleochagi, mawashi) to the head put an end to the final match," the federation reports.

According to Shevchenko's coach, Pavel Fedotov, his student will continue training in Bangkok (Thailand) after a short rest, and is expected to return to the ring in Macau in October.

It should be noted that in recent years, Shevchenko has been training and living in Peru, and competes under the flag of this country.
