The Kyrgyzstan Rugby Team Played in the Asian Championship for the First Time in History

The Kyrgyzstan national rugby-7 team participated in the Asian Championship for the first time in its history.
The competition took place from October 25 to 27 in Muscat, the capital of Oman, and gathered 13 teams.
In the group stage, the Kyrgyz team found themselves in Group B, where they faced the teams of Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia. In their first match, they suffered a defeat against Kazakhstan with a score of 0:44, and then lost to the Saudi Arabian team, losing 0:22.
After the unsuccessful matches, the Kyrgyz team continued to compete in the Challenge group.
First, they faced Lebanon, where they also lost — 0:40. However, the Kyrgyzstan national team then achieved its first victory in history at the Asian Championships, defeating Palestine with a score of 12:7.
After this victory, the Kyrgyz team played two more matches against the teams of Iraq and Oman, where they also could not achieve success, losing 0:36 and 0:19 respectively.
