
At the world championship in sambo among masters, taking place in the Uzbek capital, Nurlan Alamanov won the gold medal in the weight category up to 64 kg (age group M4), winning all his matches. This was reported by the International Sambo Federation (FIAS).
The competitions are held in the modern sports complex "Universal," where athletes over 35 years old compete for the title of world champion. Participants from more than 30 countries are taking part in the tournament, and medals are contested in seven age categories and various weight classes.
Results of the second day
The second competition day revealed the winners in the M3 and M4 categories. The Kyrgyz team, in addition to the gold medal, managed to stand out among athletes from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, France, and the international FIAS team.

Nurlan Alamanov's victory made him the only athlete from Central Asia to win gold on the second day of the tournament. This triumph marked the first medal for Kyrgyzstan at the championship, which is a significant achievement for the entire national team.
The competitions in Bukhara will continue until October 27, with the final matches ahead, where champions in the older age categories will be determined.
