The women's national team of Kyrgyzstan won two medals at the World Championship (U-23)

At the World Wrestling Championship for Youth taking place in Serbia, the women's team of Kyrgyzstan managed to win two medals.

The competitions for athletes under 23 years old are held in Novi Sad from October 22 to 25, where 10 sets of medals are contested in various weight categories.

The Kyrgyzstan team consists of six wrestlers, and they demonstrated commendable results, winning two medals.

Nurzat Nurtayeva became the world champion in the weight category up to 72 kg, while Gulnura Tashtanbekova won bronze in the weight up to 68 kg.

Kairkul Sharshybaeva fought for the bronze medal in the category up to 76 kg but ultimately finished in 5th place.

Earlier in the championship, the Greco-Roman wrestling competitions concluded, where the athletes from Kyrgyzstan were unable to win any medals.
