Prince Andrew will leave the residence at Windsor Castle
According to information provided by BBC News and Buckingham Palace, Prince Andrew, the brother of King Charles III, has lost all his titles and honors.
The initiator of this decision was King Charles III, who carried out the procedure to strip Andrew of all honorary awards.
Now Andrew will be known by the name Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor,” the official statement says.
Buckingham Palace also confirmed that Prince Andrew will have to leave the Royal Lodge in Windsor. He will subsequently move to Sandringham estate in Norfolk, with the king covering the moving expenses.
“These measures were necessary, despite Andrew's continued denial of the allegations against him. Their Majesties emphasize that their thoughts and deep sympathy always remain with the victims of violence,” the palace's statement noted.
However, Andrew's daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will retain their titles.
Recall that in 2021, Virginia Giuffre filed a lawsuit against Andrew, accusing him of sexual assault. She claimed that in her youth she became a victim of financier Jeffrey Epstein, who "loaned" her to his influential acquaintances, including Andrew. According to her, in 2001, when she was 17 years old, she had intimate relations with the prince three times.
