Recently, Terence Crawford, the American boxer, commented on his historic victory over Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. In an interview with Ariel Helwani, he shared his feelings and thoughts on the significance of this fight, comparing it to other important moments in his career.

Crawford noted that after his victory over Alvarez, he experienced "unmatched emotions," adding that for this fight he had to move up two weight classes, reaching 168 pounds.

"It's an incredible feeling. I'm just enjoying this moment. This fight has become one of the most significant for me," he stated.

However, the boxer also emphasized that his first championship title, won in 2014 in Scotland when he defeated Ricky Burns, holds a special place in his heart.

"Winning against Canelo is hugely significant, but that title was unique. I, a guy from Omaha, set a goal to become a world champion and achieved it. In one night, my dream became a reality. These two moments are completely different, but both are important," Crawford added.

Throughout his career, Terence Crawford has become the undisputed world champion in two weight classes - junior welterweight and welterweight, and also won a title in the junior middleweight division. He is known for using the skepticism of critics as motivation for further success.

"Many said I wasn't profitable and couldn't draw crowds - it was just an attempt to undermine my career. But I proved otherwise. We made history," Crawford recalled about his relationship with the promotional company Top Rank.

Before the fight against Canelo, many considered him an underdog due to the move to a heavier category. Experts doubted his ability to handle the power of the Mexican. Nevertheless, Crawford demonstrated outstanding technique and composure, leading him to a convincing victory.

"People said, 'It's impossible, the big guy always beats the little guy.' But who said that? No one knows. Everyone just repeats the same thing without thinking," he noted.

Former world champion Chris Algieri pointed out that Crawford might face an even more serious challenge if he decides to step into the ring with Russian Dmitry Bivol:

"Bivol is a tall, technically gifted, and incredibly agile fighter. He will be an extremely uncomfortable opponent for Crawford," Algieri noted.

The victory over Canelo once again confirmed that Terence Crawford is one of the greatest boxers of modern times, capable of overcoming any obstacles and breaking stereotypes in boxing.
