Eduard Kubatov, the president of the Federation of Mountaineering of Kyrgyzstan, shared his thoughts in a podcast by the agency "Kabar" about his experiences during the ascent of K2. He noted that this mountain became a true test for him, not so much physically, but spiritually. "During the climb, I felt such exhaustion that I thought: as soon as I reach the summit, it will all be over. However, upon reaching it, I realized that during the descent I was praying to God for a safe return to my family and children," Kubatov said.

He added that after descending, when he reached the camp, he already had thoughts of new goals, including plans to conquer another peak in March 2026. "But perhaps someday I will end my career in this sport and start writing books about my expeditions and great mountains. However, that moment has not yet come," he concluded.
