The head of state emphasized that during his term, he has not involved family members in politics or state affairs.
“I have been in office for over five years, and during this time I have never involved my family, not even my brothers, in state affairs. I believe that one representative of the family is enough,” he noted.
Japarov added that he has always encouraged his relatives to engage in business, develop production, and attract investments.
“I told them: open new productions, engage in business, attract investors. Fortunately, they heard me and do not interfere in politics. And they will not in the future,” the president stated.
He also noted that none of his close relatives aspire to a political career; all of them are engaged in the private sector and contribute to the country's economic progress.
Japarov elaborated on how the idea of creating "Berekett Bank" came about. In May of this year, Changpeng Zhao visited Kyrgyzstan and proposed to open a digital bank.
“I suggested making it state-owned, but Zhao refused to participate in a state structure. In the end, we decided to open a private bank,” the president explained.
The organization was handled by former speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh Marat Sultanov, who proposed including Nurdoolot Nurgazhoev in the project with Changpeng Zhao's consent.
“After some thought, I agreed, as the state has no relation to this. Let him work, gain experience, and interact with professionals. This is better than if they were involved in politics,” Japarov added.
The president emphasizes that visits by Changpeng Zhao to Kyrgyzstan are rare, as the businessman does not visit every country.
“Firstly, we have established friendly relations. Secondly, he sees that Kyrgyzstan is developing, there is a fight against corruption, and crime is not thriving. Therefore, he is interested in our country,” he noted.
According to Japarov, through "Berekett Bank," multi-billion investments will flow into Kyrgyzstan, and other major investors will also be among the founders.
“Our state and people will only benefit from this bank; there will be no harm,” he assured.
Sadyr Japarov explained that "Berekett Bank" will operate like a regular commercial bank but with a focus on digital currencies and virtual assets.
“It will function as a regular bank, but the main direction will be working with virtual assets and digital currencies,” the president said.
In response to questions about preparing his son for work in the bank, Japarov noted that his children have an education in economics and finance.
“Rustam and Nurdoolot studied in the field of economics and finance. Of course, he does not have much experience yet. But over time, he will gain it. Young people today master new areas much faster than we do,” the head of state added.
In conclusion, the president emphasized that this project will bring not only economic but also social benefits.
“From this initiative, the people of Kyrgyzstan will only gain: revenues will be shared with the population, assistance will be provided to those in need, and social facilities will be built,” noted Sadyr Japarov.
He also added that after completing his presidential term, he intends to talk about the projects his relatives have implemented and how much investment has been attracted to the country.
