“Previously, mountaineering and sports tourism developed in parallel, but now, by combining our efforts, we will be able to achieve a synergistic effect,” the federations stated.
According to information from the Federation of Sports Tourism, the cooperation will lead to the following results:
- The unification of resources and experience will enable the implementation of large-scale projects that would be impossible to carry out alone, such as organizing international expeditions and festivals, building new mountain shelters, and creating complex tourist routes.
- Joint work on methodologies and conducting training courses for guides and rescuers will significantly improve safety levels in the mountains, making hikes more comfortable for nature lovers.
- Strengthening Kyrgyzstan's image as one of the best destinations for mountaineering, trekking, and adventure tourism on the international stage.
- Creating a unified training program for young athletes, exchanging coaching practices, and organizing joint competitions for youth will allow for the growth of a new generation of strong climbers and tourists in the country.
