A report of a conflict between neighbors in an apartment building on Jumabek Street was received by the duty unit of the Lenin District Department of Internal Affairs in Bishkek. The district inspector, upon receiving the information, left for the scene of the incident on March 11, 2026, at around 21:30, as reported by the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs.
During the investigation, an unknown individual exited the elevator and unexpectedly struck the police officer in the face. The blow was so strong that the glasses of the injured officer shattered, and the shards damaged his eye, causing a laceration to the lower eyelid of the right eye. The officer was taken to the neurotraumatology department for medical assistance.
In connection with the incident, the investigative service initiated a criminal case under Article 280 (Hooliganism) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic and appointed the necessary examinations.
During operational-search activities, police officers were able to identify and detain the suspect — an 18-year-old citizen, K.N., who was taken to the Investigative Service and placed in the temporary detention facility of the Bishkek Department of Internal Affairs.
The investigation is ongoing.
