Ministry of Transport of Kyrgyzstan: There are no traffic restrictions on the country's passes, passage is open

As of March 12, 2026, traffic on local and international highways, as well as on mountain passes in Kyrgyzstan, is open and has no restrictions. This information was provided by the country's Ministry of Transport.

Currently, free passage is ensured at the Chyyrchyk, Taldyk, and Ton-Murun passes, as well as on the Osh–Sary-Tash-Erketcham highway. In addition, traffic is open at the Chapchyma pass (Ala-Buka-Jany-Bazar-Kirovka road), at the Too-Ashuu, Ala-Bel, and Kok-Bel passes (Bishkek-Osh road), in the Boom Gorge, and on the Myrzake-Kara-Kulja-Alayku highway.

There are also reports of free movement at the Dolon, Char, Ak-Beyit, Tuz-Bel, Kubaky, and Kyzyl-Bel passes (Bishkek-Naryn-Torugart road), at the Otmok pass (Taraz-Talas-Suusamyr road), and on the Tup-Kegen route.

Employees of the road maintenance services of the Ministry of Transport continue round-the-clock snow removal and anti-icing treatment, as well as addressing snowdrifts.
