According to the agency, construction permits are issued based on official data and archival information provided by the relevant state authorities. "According to a report from the Tash-Töbö Ayil Okmotu from 2018, this cemetery was recognized as closed. Based on this document, the project passed all necessary stages, and in 2024, a construction permit was issued," the specialists clarified.
It is worth noting that Bishkek city council deputy Zhanibek Asanbekov previously raised the issue of illegal construction near the cemetery. He, along with a commission of employees from the State Agency for Environmental Protection and Forestry, architecture, and other relevant departments, went to the site to clarify the situation and stated that construction is taking place near an active cemetery. The deputy also reported his intention to contact the prosecutor's office to verify the legality of this construction and hold accountable those who issued the relevant permits.
