In Kyrgyzstan, ten universities have been awarded special status, as reported by Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education Durus Kozoev at a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh committee.
The deputy minister explained that the universities received a number of preferences in the academic, financial, and managerial spheres. These measures will allow educational institutions to more effectively develop their infrastructure, including the construction of new educational buildings and dormitories.
In addition, Kozoev reported on the ongoing construction of a 16-story building on the territory of the Kyrgyz National University, located on Jibek-Jolu Street. According to him, one-third of the construction of this facility has already been completed. The new building will be multifunctional and will include administrative offices and classrooms.
