
On March 16, a telephone conversation took place between the presidents of the two countries: Sadyr Japarov and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, as reported by the press service of the President of Kyrgyzstan.
Japarov congratulated his Kazakh colleague on the successful holding of the referendum regarding the new Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
In his address, he noted that the voting results were a clear testament to the will of the people and a confirmation of trust in state institutions. Japarov added that the high voter turnout demonstrates the active position of citizens and support for the reforms being carried out.
Tokayev, for his part, expressed gratitude for the congratulations and kind words, noting the unwavering support of Kyrgyzstan in the process of changes in Kazakhstan. He also emphasized the importance of deepening cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan within the framework of strategic partnership.
During the conversation, the presidents discussed important issues of bilateral and multilateral interaction, as well as the prospects for further development of cooperation between the two states.
