In Astana, the capital of Kazakhstan, performances dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outstanding writer Chyngyz Aitmatov are taking place. This information was presented by the Ministry of Culture, Information, and Youth Policy.

The organizer of the cultural events is the Kyrgyz National Philharmonic named after Toktogul Satylganov. It presented two musicals based on Aitmatov's works: the ethno-musical "Raymaly menen Begimai" and the musical "Jamiyla," which are being showcased on the stage of the Kazakh National Musical Drama Theater named after Kalibek Kuanyshbaev.

These events are held with the support of President Sadyr Japarov and in accordance with the decree on holding anniversary events.

On March 17, the audience was able to see the ethno-musical "Raymaly menen Begimai," and the showing of "Jamiyla" is scheduled for March 18.

Among the guests were the State Secretary of Kyrgyzstan Arslan Koichiev, the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan Nurbek Sayasat, the Deputy Minister of Culture of Kyrgyzstan Marat Tagaev, as well as the writer's son Eldar Aitmatov and representatives of the culture from both countries.
