A project has been launched in Kyrgyzstan for the construction of a wind farm on Issyk-Kul, involving the Russian state corporation "Rosatom." It is expected that the facility will be put into operation in 2027, as reported by the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev in an interview with the Intergovernmental TV and Radio Company "Mir."
Kasymaliev noted that work on the project began in 2024, and this year it is planned to finalize the financial aspects.
“We have signed a loan agreement with 'Rosatom.' Installation work will begin at the end of October or in November, and we will likely put the first part into operation in December. The remaining part will be ready next year. Full launch is scheduled for 2027. We plan to complete the first part by the end of 2026,” he added.
