The honorary consulate of Montenegro has opened in Kyrgyzstan, which took place during the visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of this country, Ervin Ibrahimovic.
At the ceremony, which was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan, the Montenegrin delegation, and businessmen, it was emphasized that the consulate will serve as a "practical bridge" for strengthening ties between the citizens and commercial entities of the two countries.

“We will work on attracting Kyrgyz businessmen to Montenegro and Montenegrin businessmen to Kyrgyzstan. Currently, there is already interest from investors from Montenegro in our country. A large bilateral business forum is planned to be held soon, and direct flights will be opened. Direct air communication with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan has already been established, and launching such a route to Kyrgyzstan will create excellent conditions for the development of tourism and simplifying business contacts. Moreover, the Montenegrin side is interested in investments in the construction of small hydropower plants, the construction sector, and manufacturing. We intend to activate bilateral cooperation in these areas. Currently, negotiations are underway between the chambers of commerce and industry of the two countries to expand mutual understanding,” emphasized Asanov.
