Events unfolded on February 18, when a mobile police group, conducting patrols on the bypass road, noticed a group of people in the Kemin district around 11 PM. Upon seeing the patrol car, some of them attempted to flee, but they were apprehended.
According to local residents from the Issyk-Ata district, that evening they had planned to meet with young men to purchase gold jewelry. To their surprise, at the meeting place, the latter threatened them with a gun and demanded money.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the detainees had prepared for a robbery by posing as jewelry sellers and had armed themselves in advance with a Makarov pistol.
A criminal case was initiated regarding this incident under Article 36-207 ("Preparation for Robbery") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. Among those detained were D.A. (born in 2001), J.A. (1998), and D.K. (1997). The court ordered their detention for two months.
Investigative actions are ongoing.
