In a comprehensive study involving over 50,000 participants, it was found that even small lifestyle changes, such as increasing sleep duration and physical activity, can significantly reduce the risk of major cardiovascular diseases, including stroke and heart attack. As noted by the authors, such changes are accessible to everyone, according to information from Hightech+.

Analysis of data collected from observations of more than 52,000 men and women over approximately eight years demonstrated that even minimal improvements in three key behavioral aspects have significant clinical benefits, as reported on the website of the European Society of Cardiology.

Scientists emphasize the importance of adjusting diet, increasing sleep duration, and physical activity to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events. The results showed that maintaining a sleep schedule of 8-9 hours, engaging in moderate physical exercise for 42 minutes daily, and adding at least a quarter of a glass of vegetables reduces the likelihood of diseases by 57%.

Moreover, even small changes, such as increasing sleep time by 11 minutes and physical activity by 5 minutes, can reduce risks by 10%. "Simple adjustments can have a significant positive impact on cardiovascular health," the researchers assert.
