Deputy Minister of Education Nadira Jusupbekova stated at a press conference at the Kabar agency that no tests, exams, or interviews aimed at assessing knowledge are allowed when enrolling children in the first grade.
She also reminded parents of the necessity to register their children between April 1 and June 1 and recommended choosing schools located close to home. In case of a shortage of places, the system will suggest the nearest school.
Head of the School Education Department of the Ministry of Education Melisbek Muzulmanov noted that quotas for enrollment will be established by local self-government bodies, taking into account the number of teachers.
