As of today, no cases of Nipah virus infection have been registered in Kyrgyzstan. The epidemiological situation is under strict control by the sanitary-epidemiological services. This was reported by the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.
To prevent the potential importation of the virus, additional sanitary-quarantine control measures have been implemented at the borders of the country.
Sanitary-quarantine point staff are monitoring the health status of arrivals, checking vehicles, and conducting preventive measures in accordance with established norms.
Medical institutions in the country have received instructions on how to promptly identify, isolate patients, and implement anti-epidemic measures.
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic maintains active cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO) and international partners for the exchange of epidemiological information and coordination of preventive measures.
