Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan: No cases of Nipah virus have been registered in the country

According to the Ministry of Health, no cases of the Nipah virus have been registered in the country. The epidemiological situation is being monitored by sanitary and epidemiological services.

To prevent the possible importation of the infection at the borders of the Kyrgyz Republic, enhanced sanitary and quarantine measures have been implemented. Workers at sanitary and quarantine points are monitoring the health status of incoming travelers, controlling vehicles, and conducting preventive measures in accordance with established norms.

Medical institutions in the country have received instructions for the early detection of the infection, isolation of patients, and organization of anti-epidemic measures.

The Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic is actively cooperating with the World Health Organization (WHO) and international partners to exchange information on the epidemiological situation and coordinate preventive actions, as stated in the official announcement.
