At a meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh Committee on Labor, Health, Women's Affairs, and Social Issues, Deputy Ulukbek Karybek uulu drew attention to the problem of the absence of a Hand Microsurgery Center in the southern region of the country.

He emphasized that there is only one such center operating in Kyrgyzstan, located in Bishkek, which forces patients to travel to the capital for necessary treatment.

“Is there a possibility of creating a similar center in Osh or at least a branch?” he asked representatives of the Ministry of Health.

Deputy Minister of Health Aibek Matkerimov responded that the ministry would study this issue.

“It is important to establish the number of patients who seek help each year. It is also necessary to consider the shortage of qualified personnel that needs to be trained,” he added.

In addition, the deputy reported complaints received from citizens about the staff of the Osh Regional Hospital, who demand money for anesthesia.

“I also want to draw attention to the work of maternity hospitals. We have clearly stated in the law that childbirth and postpartum care should be provided free of charge for one year,” he declared.

The deputy minister responded that among medical personnel, there are cases where individuals discredit the entire system, and work is already underway to prevent such incidents.
