As part of the "Agrofinancing of Value-Added Chains" initiative, technical support is provided to state veterinary laboratories, which includes supplying necessary equipment and standard samples from the government.
The Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture, and Processing Industry reported that practical courses aimed at enhancing the qualifications of specialists in conducting specific tests are also being organized under the project.
New methods for determining residues of veterinary drugs in food products are being implemented at the Veterinary Diagnostics and Expertise Center. Currently, work is ongoing to prepare and implement these methods, especially in the area of accreditation for residue analysis in honey.
The main goal of the project is to expand the scope of accreditation through the introduction of methods that are critically important for maintaining the equivalence of the state control system and ensuring stable food product exports.
The project will be implemented until the third quarter of 2027 with the help of foreign experts who are collaborating with professionals from the BIOR laboratory in Latvia.
