Recently, an important meeting took place at the Ministry of Health, attended by Deputy Minister of Health Temirbek Erkinov and the Ambassador of the Swiss Confederation to Kyrgyzstan, Siroko Messerli.
During the discussion, representatives from both sides reviewed the results of projects implemented with the support of Switzerland in the healthcare sector of Kyrgyzstan and outlined plans for further cooperation.
The main topics of discussion included:
- improving financial protection for citizens in the medical field;
- increasing public awareness about health, including the development of Health Committee Associations at the local level;
- enhancing the qualifications of healthcare workers;
- strengthening primary healthcare with an emphasis on prevention and management of non-communicable diseases;
- optimizing management in the healthcare sector.
According to the Ministry of Health, these projects contribute to improving the accessibility and quality of medical services, as well as developing prevention and strengthening the institutional capacity of the healthcare system.
The parties expressed interest in further partnership and expanding cooperation in key areas of healthcare development.
