In Bishkek, as part of the project to create a reference laboratory for urban hospitals, active work is underway at the National Hospital, as reported by the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan.

Recently, the Minister of Health Damirbek Osmonov visited the National Hospital and familiarized himself with its activities.

According to the chief physician Bakyt Tologonov, repairs are currently being carried out on the building where the laboratory will be located. The completion of the work is planned by the end of April. After that, the installation of equipment, staff training, and preparation of the laboratory for full operation will begin.

The project receives support from the Asian Development Bank and aims to create a centralized laboratory base for the city's hospitals. This will allow the National Hospital to conduct laboratory research in a centralized format, which, in turn, will improve the quality of diagnostics and implement unified standards for conducting research.

The implementation of this project is planned to take place over the course of a year.
