Within the framework of official medicine, doctors can recommend not only medications but also vitamins and dietary supplements (DS). This was stated by Aman Osmonov, head of the licensing department of the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, in the program "Elden Sobol".

“These supplements should be considered as auxiliary; they are not intended for treating diseases. For example, in the winter period, when there is a lack of vitamins, doctors may recommend vitamin complexes or trace elements to support the immune system,” Osmonov added.
He also emphasized the absence of licenses for dietary supplements, as only medications are subject to licensing. Unfortunately, counterfeit and illegal supplements continue to enter the country. The Ministry of Health refers such cases to law enforcement agencies. “This flow does not stop, no matter how hard we try. You close one loophole — another one opens,” he concluded.
