In the Jalal-Abad region, there is a serious shortage of veterinary specialists, as reported by Ilkhom Tursunkulov, Deputy Head of the Suzak District Livestock Development, Pastures, and Feed Service.

Currently, there are 259 private veterinarians working in the region, who do not receive salaries from the government and provide their services on a commercial basis.

Animal husbandry plays an important role in the region's economy, where 349,000 heads of cattle are registered. However, the health of this livestock is the responsibility of only 259 veterinarians. According to Tursunkulov, "there is about one veterinarian for every 800 heads of cattle, which significantly complicates the performance of their duties. To provide quality services in the region, at least 1,500 veterinarians are needed. We are already negotiating with universities to train new specialists," he added.

Previously, there have been cases of livestock diseases in various regions of the country. Experts established that the outbreaks were located in the Chuy and Naryn regions. Farmers in the Jalal-Abad region also faced this problem, but thanks to the prompt actions of livestock owners and veterinarians, it was possible to prevent the widespread spread of the disease.

In the coming month, a significant shipment of vaccines is expected, after which large-scale vaccination will begin in the region. Currently, the epizootic situation in the area is assessed as stable.
