As a founding state, Uzbekistan has been invited to become part of the World Council. In Trump's official address, it is mentioned that the initiative is based on the Comprehensive Plan for Ending the Conflict in Gaza, which was announced on September 29, 2025, and supported by world leaders, as well as approved by UN Security Council Resolution No. 2803 on November 17, 2025.

The establishment of the World Council will be a key element of this initiative aimed at uniting countries willing to take responsibility for creating long-term peace and stability.

In a response letter, Trump, according to Mirziyoyev, expressed Uzbekistan's readiness to participate in the World Council as a founding state. The President of Uzbekistan noted that he views this initiative as an important step in resolving long-standing conflicts in the Middle East and strengthening peace in the region.

Trump announced the creation of the World Council in the Gaza Strip on January 16, 2026. This institution became part of his peace plan for Gaza, which also includes the deployment of international forces.

On the same day, the White House presented the composition of the executive committee of the council, which includes seven members, among them U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Trump's special envoy Steve Witkoff, the president's son-in-law Jared Kushner, and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

According to Bloomberg, the Trump administration requires countries wishing to obtain a permanent seat on the Council to contribute at least $1 billion. According to the draft charter, Trump will be the first chairman of the Council, who will have the authority to decide whom to admit to the organization, as well as to approve or reject decisions made by a majority vote.

Earlier, the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, also received an invitation from Trump to participate in the "World Council" on Gaza and, according to his press service, agreed to this proposal.

In Moscow, it was confirmed that a similar invitation was sent to Vladimir Putin, but the President of Russia is still studying the details of this proposal.
