During the meeting, Witkoff highlighted four main areas of discussion: the further development of Trump's 20-point peace plan, the agreement on multilateral security guarantees, the discussion of the American security system for Ukraine, and the continuation of the "economic development and prosperity plan." He also noted that the conversation included "timing and the sequence of further steps."
“Our common goal is to stop the violence, ensure security, and create conditions for the recovery and long-term prosperity of Ukraine. Peace must include not only the cessation of conflicts but also a solid foundation for a stable future,” emphasized Witkoff.
Additionally, according to Witkoff, the Ukrainian delegation in Miami had meetings with representatives from European countries.
The Ukrainian delegation included Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Andriy Hnatov.
The American side was represented by Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner, White House staffer Josh Grünbaum, and Steve Witkoff himself.
Key national security advisors from Europe also joined the discussion to develop a common strategic approach for Ukraine, the U.S., and European countries.
