In the coming days, consultations will begin between Ukraine and the United States regarding possible steps to achieve a peace agreement, as noted by Rustem Umerov, who is responsible for national security and defense in the country.
“We approach this process with a clear understanding of our interests,” he added.
The Office of the President of Ukraine also reported that “consultations on the stages of conflict resolution will take place soon.”
“We hope for productive cooperation and are ready to act quickly to achieve real peace,” emphasized representatives of the Ukrainian authorities.
Earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, approved the composition of the delegation that will participate in negotiations on the proposed U.S. plan for resolving the situation in Ukraine. The delegation will be headed by Andriy Yermak, who is the head of the President's Office.
The delegation includes: Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC); Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense; Andriy Ihnatov, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine; Oleg Ivashchenko, Head of the Foreign Intelligence Service; Serhiy Kyslytsia, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs; Yevhen Ostriansky, First Deputy Secretary of the NSDC; Oleksandr Poklad, Deputy Head of the SBU; and Oleksandr Bevz, Advisor to the Head of Zelensky's Office.
