Halushchenko and Hrynchuk
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commented that Justice Minister Herman Halushchenko and Energy Minister Svitlana Hrynchuk can no longer hold their positions. This decision was the result of an investigation related to corruption in "Energoatom," which manages all operating nuclear power plants in the country.

“The issue is also about trust. If accusations arise, they must be addressed,” Zelensky noted, adding that he had asked Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko to prepare documents for the ministers' dismissal. “I urge the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada to support these statements. Further actions must take place within the legal framework,” he emphasized.

In addition, the president announced his intention to sign a decree imposing sanctions against two individuals connected to the "Energoatom" case, but did not name them.

“The situation in Ukraine is extremely complicated right now. We are facing power outages, strikes from Russia, and losses. It is absolutely unacceptable that corruption continues to exist in the energy sector under such circumstances,” he stated.

Later, Prime Minister Svyrydenko clarified that sanctions would be imposed on Timur Mindich and Alexander Tsukerman. Mindich, who is an associate of Zelensky and co-owner of the "Kvartal 95" studio, along with Tsukerman, left the country shortly before the searches at "Energoatom."

Svitlana Hrynchuk, the Minister of Energy of Ukraine, has already submitted her resignation letter, which she published on her Facebook page. “During my professional activity, I did not allow any violations of the law. These facts simply cannot exist,” she added to the photo. Herman Halushchenko also announced his resignation, as reported by the Prime Minister.

Ministers Halushchenko and Hrynchuk were appointed to their positions in July 2025. Prior to this, Halushchenko headed the Ministry of Energy, while Hrynchuk was responsible for environmental protection. It is worth noting that on November 12, Halushchenko was suspended from his position as Minister of Justice following searches related to the bribery case in "Energoatom."
