A 500 kW substation is planned to be built in Balakchy, as reported by the Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan, Talaybek Ibraev, on the air of Birinchi Radio.
According to him, the Eurasian Development Bank (EABR) conducted thorough research for a year before making the decision to finance this project. The minister noted that the bank's ecologists paid special attention to environmental protection issues. "Europeans take ecology very seriously. They studied what birds inhabit this region and assessed whether the power lines would interfere with their migration or threaten their population," emphasized Ibraev. He added that all research has been completed, which indicates a high level of responsibility from the investors.
Additionally, the minister reported that a meeting with the vice president of EABR will take place today, during which key aspects of the project will be discussed and the timeline for the start of construction works will be planned.
