According to Iminov, the necessary blockchain infrastructure is already fully prepared, and in the coming months, testing of solutions related to the digital som (CBDC) and the national stablecoin of Kyrgyzstan will begin.
He noted that cooperation with the international cryptocurrency exchange Binance opens significant opportunities for Kyrgyzstan. This will allow citizens to open cryptocurrency wallets on Binance, as well as directly buy and convert digital assets, bypassing exchange points.
In the future, it is planned that the CBDC and stablecoin of Kyrgyzstan will have trading pairs with other crypto assets on the Binance platform, which will contribute to the creation of a full-fledged ecosystem for settlements and investments.
Commenting on the sanctions imposed by the European Union against the digital ruble of Russia and a number of banks in Kyrgyzstan, Iminov noted that these measures will not affect the domestic cryptocurrency market.
“The cryptocurrency market is global. Our projects are being developed within our own ecosystem and are not dependent on circumstances in other countries,” he explained.
According to Iminov, Kyrgyzstan ranks 19th in the world ranking for the perception of cryptocurrencies among the population, with a level of acceptance of digital assets at 63.5%, comparable to financial centers such as Dubai.
In addition, the country plans to launch an online platform in the Kyrgyz language, where citizens will be able to study the basics of cryptocurrencies, blockchain, and digital technologies for free.
