Gulnaz Supaeva, Doctor of Economic Sciences, shared her opinion on the prospects of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies in Kyrgyzstan in an interview with the Kabar agency. She noted that there is a growing interest in these areas in the country, especially among youth and IT specialists.
According to Supaeva, creating a reliable legislative framework is essential for the successful development of these technologies. "If government agencies start actively working in this direction, establish legal frameworks, and focus efforts on developing technological infrastructure, Kyrgyzstan could take a leading position in the region," she added.
However, potential risks must also be considered, such as price fluctuations in cryptocurrencies, the possibility of illegal transactions, and information security issues. In the expert's opinion, Kyrgyzstan's approach should be focused on sustainable development in this area.
Gulnaz Supaeva also pointed out that Kyrgyzstan ranks 19th among 151 countries in the cryptocurrency usage index. For further progress in this field, the country should concentrate on three key aspects:
development of state policy;improvement of infrastructure;training of qualified personnel.Supaeva emphasized that cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies are developing at different speeds in various countries, and each country chooses its path based on the specifics of its economy and legislation.
The global trend is generally aimed not at restriction but at the development of this sphere in a safe and legal environment.
