A meeting dedicated to the issues of psychological support for children took place in Balakchy. This was reported by the Ministry of Labor, Social Security, and Migration of Kyrgyzstan.
According to the information from the ministry, representatives from various government agencies, local self-government, and members of the Commission for Child Affairs (CCA) gathered for the working meeting.
Participants discussed important aspects of protecting children's rights, preventing violence, and the interaction between state and municipal structures to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
Particular attention was paid to the issues of early detection of cases of violence, increasing the role of social workers and child protection specialists, as well as the need to provide timely psychological assistance to children who have become victims of violence.
As a result of the meeting, the following decisions were made:
- The Balakchy city administration will focus on temporarily attracting psychologists to support children who have faced violence and are in difficult life situations;
- Consider the possibility of introducing a permanent position for a psychologist in relevant organizations to provide ongoing assistance to children and their families;
- Create an interdepartmental technical group to develop preventive measures aimed at preventing violence and violations of children's rights;
- Continue cooperation and information exchange between agencies on issues of protecting the rights and interests of children.
