On Tuesday, the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Zandan Shatar Gombojav, made the decision to dismiss Vice Prime Minister Amarsaihan Sainbuyan.
This decision was prompted by Amarsaihan's earlier signing of a proposal to dissolve his cabinet.
On his social media page, he stated: "I officially announced at the Cabinet meeting that I am leaving the government, as I no longer feel capable of working in a team under the leadership of Zandan Shatar Gombojav." he reported.
Government bodies, in turn, noted that "Prime Minister Zandan Shatar Gombojav relieved his deputy of duties due to a violation of the accountability agreement. This was announced at the beginning of the Cabinet meeting."
“We are observing an increase in illegal actions by individuals pursuing selfish goals and seeking to seize power unconstitutionally. Unfortunately, some ministers among them have urged their colleagues to sign a petition and pressured deputies. Therefore, I am making the decision to resign Vice Prime Minister Amarsaihan Sainbuyan. It is unacceptable to express positions different from those of the House of Representatives within the framework of the accountability agreement,” said the Prime Minister of Mongolia, Zandan Shatar Gombojav.
