A new substation "Kең-Sai" was opened in Osh on October 30.

Attending the event were the Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev, the Mayor of Osh City Zhenishbek Toktorbaev, the General Director of the National Electric Networks of Kyrgyzstan OJSC Ilgiz Sydygaliev, and local residents.

According to information from the Ministry of Energy, the cost of the project amounted to 18.5 million soms.

This new substation will provide reliable electricity supply for the residential area of Ken-Sai and the villages of Gulbaar, Kenesh, and Japalak. Additionally, electricity will be available for about 3,000 households in Osh and a new residential area in the Aravan district, where 6,877 people reside.
With the launch of the substation, a reduction in the load on the "Uchar" and "Gulbaar" substations is expected. The new facility is equipped with a transformer with a capacity of 6.3 MVA, as well as modern circuit breakers and an automated control system.

In July of this year, Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev, who visited the site, instructed to complete the work and launch the substation by the end of the year.

The "Ken-Sai" substation will improve electricity supply and create opportunities for the development of new residential areas and industrial facilities in Osh and the surrounding regions.
