In order to discuss the List of goods for which the Kyrgyz Republic intends to apply import customs duty rates different from those established by the Customs Union during the transitional period, the Ministry of Energy and Industry held a Round Table on October 14 of this year. Specialists from the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic, heads of industrial enterprises, representatives of public organizations, and business associations participated in this event. In particular, the Executive Director of the Association of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sh.I. Boronchiev, the Executive Director of the Guild of Printers and Publishers of the Kyrgyz Republic, S.V. Komarov, and others.
The Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic has proposed 45 names of goods for which it is intended to apply import customs duty rates different from those established by the Customs Union. This List of goods has been compiled taking into account the proposals from industrial enterprises and public organizations. Relevant proposals were submitted by the Guild of Printers and Publishers of the Kyrgyz Republic, LLC "Avtomashradiator," LLC "Mayly-Suu Lamp Factory," Khaydarkan Mercury JSC, OJSC "Dastan," and others.
In August of this year, a public discussion on this issue was held at the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.
It should be noted that members of the Association of Light Industry Enterprises of the Kyrgyz Republic "Legprom" refused all preferences for the import of raw materials, although they mainly import fabrics and accessories for the production of sewing products from China, Turkey, and other countries.
Taking into account the discussions at this Round Table, the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic will prepare a final version of the List of goods for which it is proposed to apply a zero customs duty rate for a certain period within the framework of the Customs Union.
