The Ken-Sai Substation Commissioned in Osh

The Ministry of Energy of Kyrgyzstan has officially announced the opening of the "Ken-Sai" substation, located in the Ken-Sai district of the city of Osh.

The agency reports that construction was completed ahead of schedule.

Attending the opening ceremony were Minister of Energy Talaybek Ibraev, Mayor of Osh Jenishbek Toktorbaev, General Director of the National Electric Networks of Kyrgyzstan JSC Ilgiz Sydygaliev, as well as representatives of the local population.

The construction work was carried out by the National Electric Networks of Kyrgyzstan JSC, with a total investment of 18.5 million soms.

The commissioning of the 110/10 kV "Ken-Sai" substation will ensure reliable electricity supply to the new residential areas of Ken-Sai, as well as neighboring settlements Gulbaar, Kenesh, and Japalak.

Additionally, the new substation will serve approximately 3,000 households in Osh and 6,877 residents of the Aravan district over an area of 1,124 hectares designated for land plots.

It is noted that the new substation will also relieve the existing 110/6 kV "Uchar" and 35/10 kV "Gulbaar" substations. The "Ken-Sai" substation was built as part of the development of a residential area covering 1,824 hectares and will provide stable electricity supply to social, industrial, public, and private facilities.
