At a meeting of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as reported by "RBK-Ukraine," several deputies blocked the podium demanding the adoption of "real personnel decisions."
The faction "European Solidarity" expressed dissatisfaction and stated that it would not support the dismissal of Galushchenko and Grinchuk until the issue of the resignation of the entire government was raised. Deputies led by Petro Poroshenko blocked the podium, chanting "Government - out."
Speaker Ruslan Stefanchuk announced a break and invited faction leaders for consultations.
On November 10, employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) conducted a search at Timur Mindich's office, co-owner of the "Quarter 95" studio and ally of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Shortly after that, NABU reported the uncovering of a large embezzlement scheme in the company "Energoatom," the operator of the country's nuclear power plants. According to anti-corruption agencies, this involves "kickbacks" in procurement amounting to hundreds of millions of dollars, with Mindich being one of the main beneficiaries.
The searches also affected Herman Galushchenko, who held the position of Minister of Energy until July 2025. As a result, he was removed from office, and later he submitted his resignation. Svetlana Grinchuk, the current Minister of Energy of Ukraine, also wrote a statement regarding her resignation. President Zelensky addressed the Verkhovna Rada with a request to dismiss Galushchenko and Grinchuk.
