An earthquake occurred in the waters of New Zealand

A seismic event with a magnitude of 6.2 has been recorded in the Kermadec Islands region, which is part of New Zealand. This was reported by the German Research Centre for Geosciences.

According to the center, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at a depth of about 10 kilometers.

So far, there have been no reports of casualties or damage. There have also been no reports of a potential tsunami threat.
