Trump expects significant reduction in US national debt

US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that the country's national debt, which is currently at record levels, will be significantly reduced due to economic growth. In an interview with NBC, he noted: "Although we have debt, we also have economic growth, and this will soon make the debt less significant."

According to the US Department of the Treasury, last year the national debt exceeded 38 trillion dollars for the first time.
