In a recent report by RIA Novosti, citing the Telegram channel of the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences, it was revealed that a formation resembling a smile has appeared on the surface of the Sun.
The size of this unique phenomenon reaches 1.5 million kilometers, as noted in the publication.
According to specialists, two enormous active regions served as the basis for the formation of this "smile," which emerged due to a prominence.
Astronomers noted that at this moment, the Sun is facing Earth, while the other nearby planets are on the opposite side of the star.
