Starting from March 1, the cost of a tourist visa to Egypt will increase from $25 to $30, as reported by Cairo 24.
The changes will affect those arriving through the airports of Cairo and Hurghada. For travelers vacationing in Sharm El Sheikh, the free 15-day "Sinai stamp" will remain in effect, but a visa will be required for trips outside the region.
Previously, an increase in the fee to $45 was discussed, but Egyptian authorities decided to abandon this idea.
Egypt continues to be one of the most popular resorts for tourists from CIS countries, including Kyrgyzstan.
