Saudi Aramco has suspended operations at its oil refinery in Ras Tanura following a drone strike in the region. This was reported by Bloomberg.
This refinery, one of the largest in the country, has the capacity to process up to 550,000 barrels of crude oil daily. The plant, located on the coast of the Persian Gulf, was shut down on Monday for safety reasons while Aramco specialists assess the damage caused by the incident; the fire at the plant is already under control.
Additionally, following the outbreak of hostilities in the Middle East over the weekend, oil prices in London increased by nearly 10%. The United States and Israel struck Iran, to which Tehran responded with attacks involving hundreds of missiles and drones against countries in the region.
