Iran struck the largest oil refinery of Saudi Aramco in Saudi Arabia

According to information provided by the Turkish newspaper Sözcü, after the drone strike, Saudi Aramco suspended operations at its refinery in Ras Tanura. Sources from Reuters, Business Recorder, and India Today confirmed that the situation is under control and reported a temporary suspension of the refinery's operations, which was also reported by Bloomberg.

Saudi Aramco is the national oil company of Saudi Arabia and the largest oil producer in the world, accounting for up to 80% of the state budget's revenues. The company's headquarters is located in Dhahran, and it ranks fifth in the 2021 Forbes Global 2000 list.

It is also worth noting that on March 2, Iran conducted an attack on the NATO base "Victoria" located in Iraq. In total, Iranian forces struck 27 American bases in the Middle East, as well as the command facilities of the Israel Defense Forces and the defense complex in Tel Aviv.

On February 28, U.S. President Donald Trump announced the start of a major military operation against Iran, in cooperation with Israel, citing the failure of negotiations regarding Iran's nuclear program. As a result of an Israeli attack, Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was killed, which prompted Iran to respond with attacks on American military bases using missiles and drones.
